Intel was founded in 1968 by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce, with Andy Grove joining them immediately thereafter. The Santa Clara site is home to Intel's worldwide corporate headquarters, research and development teams, and state-of-the-art facilities for chip design, testing, and fabrication.

Intel Santa Clara works with local schools to bring 21st century tools to today’s young innovators. We help improve science, math, engineering, and technology programs and develop programs that create pipelines into high-tech fields. Intel is committed to helping women and the underserved minorities in our communities pursue higher education and technical skills, and provide programs specifically targeted to them.
