Timer Implementation Using Intel® 80310 I/O Processor Chipset
As neither the Intel® 80200 processor (80200) or the Intel® 80312 I/O
companion chip (80312) have integrated general purpose timers, this
paper describes steps to implement a timer when using the Intel®
80310 I/O Processor Chipset (80310). The application note also provides
all the necessary Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD) equations
and source code to successfully implement a general purpose timer in a
separate device.
