Intel® 80321 Software Conversion to Intel® 80332 I/O Processor Application Note

The Intel® 80332 I/O processor (80332) is the first PCI Express* I/O processor in the Intel XScale® microarchitecture family of I/O processors. The 80332 integrates two PCI Express*-to-PCI-X bridges with Intel® 80321 I/O processor (80321) peripherals that have improved performance for next-generation products. The improvements over the 80321 provided in the 80332 include improved memory-controller architecture, higher-speed memory and internal busses, and a higher-performance interrupt controller. This application note describes these changes and the impact of converting a 80321 software stack to the 80332.
