Intel supplies products that enable Telecommunications Equipment Manufacturers (TEMs) in the broadband access market to expedite their development and offer lower cost triple play services. The Intel® IXP23XX product line of network processors, in conjunction with hardware and software support from Intel and members of the Intel® Communications Alliance, is designed to meet the increased functional and performance requirements for next generation access equipment.
The flexibility of the software and the scalability of Intel® network processors allow TEMs to reuse designs for multiple access applications, such as intelligent DSLAMs, CMTS, PON, and FTTx. Processing headroom also allows TEMs to design for the next generation of access equipment, such as IPTV, video on demand, VDSL, and new WT-101 standards. |
