Intel® Pentium® D Processor 900Δ Sequence and Intel® Pentium® Processor Extreme Edition 955Δ, 965Δ Datasheet
On 65 nm Process in the 775-land LGA Package and supporting Intel® Extended Memory 64 TechnologyΦ, and
supporting Intel® Virtualization Technology±
The Intel® Pentium® processor Extreme Edition 955Δ, 965Δ is Intel's first desktop dual-core product on the 65 nm process. The processors use Flip-Chip Land Grid Array (FC-LGA6) package technology, and plug into a 775-land surface mount, Land Grid Array (LGA) socket, referred to as the LGA775 socket. The Pentium processor Extreme Edition 955, 965 like the Intel® Pentium® D processor on 90 nm process in the 775-land package, use the Intel NetBurst® microarchitecture and maintains the tradition of compatibly with IA-32 software.

**Enhanced HALT State and Enhanced Intel SpeedStep® Technology (EIST) for specified units of this processor available Q2/06. See the Spec Finder at http://processorfinder.intel.com or contact your Intel representative for more information.
Φ Intel® 64 requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, operating system, device drivers, and applications enabled for Intel 64. Processor will not operate (including 32-bit operation) without an Intel 64-enabled BIOS. Performance will vary depending on your hardware and software configurations. See http://www.intel.com/info/em64t for more information including details on which processors support Intel 64, or consult with your system vendor for more information.
†† Hyper-Threading Technology requires a computer system with an Intel® Pentium® processor Extreme Edition and a Hyper-Threading Technology enabled chipset, BIOS and operating system. Performance will vary depending on the specific hardware and software you use. See www.intel.com/products/ht/hyperthreading_more.htm.
Δ Intel® processor numbers are not a measure of performance. Processor numbers differentiate features within each processor family, not across different processor families. See www.intel.com/products/processor_number/ for details.
° Enabling Execute Disable Bit functionality requires a PC with a processor with Execute Disable Bit capability and a supporting operating system. Check with your PC manufacturer on whether your system delivers Execute Disable Bit functionality.
± Intel® Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT), Intel® Trusted Execution Technology (Intel® TXT), and Intel® 64 architecture require a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, enabling software and/or operating system, device drivers and applications designed for these features. Performance will vary depending on your configuration. Contact your vendor for more information.
