Installing the Required Playback Software The AVI files on this CD have been encoded with the Indeo Video Interactive codec. Your computer MUST have the Indeo codec installed before you will be able to view the AVI video files. To determine if the required codec is installed on your system: - Open the "AVI Files" folder on this CD; - Double-click on any of the files in the folder; - If you see the message "Video not available, cannot find 'vids: IVI41' decompressor", you will need to install the Indeo codec on your system. To install the Indeo codec: - Open the "INDEO Codec" folder on this CD; - Double-click on the file named "ivi_nt95(3).exe"; - Follow the on-screen instructions. Video Playback Performance Tips: - Close all other applications. This will allocate the maximum CPU resources to playing the video. - To begin viewing, select and click on a video file. After a few seconds you will see a white screen with a box off to the side. Click your mouse to begin viewing. Use the mouse to control pause or play functions. - If the video is not running smoothly, and if you have the disk space available, copy the videos to your hard drive before running. 3. Windows NT Playback Occasionally, you may experience the error message "An object or name was not found" when attempting to launch the video files directly from Windows NT Explorer by double-clicking on the file. If this happens, the problem can usually be overcome by launching the file through the player software; i.e: Start...Programs...Accessories... Multimedia...(Select Player); File...Open...(Select file) The problem can also be overcome by transferring the files from the CD-ROM to your hard drive.
