Intel® Core™2 Extreme Processor X6800∆ and Intel® Core™2 Duo Desktop Processor E6000∆ and E4000∆ Sequences Datasheet
on 65 nm Process in the 775-land LGA Package and supporting Intel® 64 Architecture and Intel® Virtualization Technology±
The Intel® Core™2 Extreme processor X6800∆ and Intel® Core™2 Duo desktop processor E6000∆ and E4000∆ sequences combine the performance of the previous generation of desktop products with the power efficiencies of a low-power microarchitecture to enable smaller, quieter systems. These processors are 64-bit processors that maintain compatibility with IA-32 software. The processors support several Advanced Technologies including the Execute Disable Bit, Intel® 64 Architecture, and Enhanced Intel SpeedStep® Technology. In addition, the Intel Core™2 Duo desktop processor E6000∆ Sequence and Intel Core™2 Extreme processor X6800∆ support Intel® Virtualization Technology (Intel VT). Specification Update for this document: 310307 64-bit computing on Intel architecture requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, operating system, device drivers and applications enabled for Intel(R) 64 architecture. Processors will not operate (including 32-bit operation) without an Intel(R) 64 architecture-enabled BIOS. Performance will vary depending on your hardware and software configurations. Consult with your system vendor for more information. Δ Intel® processor numbers are not a measure of performance. Processor numbers differentiate features within each processor family, not across different processor families. See www.intel.com/products/processor_number/ for details. ‡ Not all specified units of this processor support Enhanced Intel SpeedStep® Technology. See the Processor Spec Finder at processorfinder.intel.com or contact your Intel representative for more information. ± Intel® Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT), Intel® Trusted Execution Technology (Intel® TXT), and Intel® 64 architecture require a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, enabling software and/or operating system, device drivers and applications designed for these features. Performance will vary depending on your configuration. Contact your vendor for more information. ° Enabling Execute Disable Bit functionality requires a PC with a processor with Execute Disable Bit capability and a supporting operating system. Check with your PC manufacturer on whether your system delivers Execute Disable Bit functionality.
