The goal of the Customer Manufacturing Enabling (CME) group is to provide enhanced value to our customers by continuously improving the manufacturability of new technologies in our customers' factories. We strive to incorporate customer feedback resulting in products from Intel that integrate seamlessly into our customers' factories.

We work with CME participants to prevent manufacturing ramp issues prior to production. This serves to reduce our customers' time to market by helping them achieve an accelerated production learning curve. This assures flawless manufacturing integration of Intel® products into their factories.

What CME offers

Services

CME works with our customers to ensure a smooth manufacturing start-up of products in their factories. We accomplish this by providing high-level engineering services to our customers. Some of our services include: Industry analysis, collateral generation, test vehicles, measurement tools, and on-site validations.

Initiatives

CME works across industry segments and technology borders. We currently have programs in the mobile, desktop, server, and ultra-mobile markets. Additionally, we support industry technology initiatives like the reduction of hazardous substances initiative (RoHS).

Test

CME provides technology and support for our customers in the complex test arena. We have developed and deployed such tools as the Intel� Socket Test Technology, which helps our board manufacturing customers increase yield at the In Circuit Test (ICT) step of the board manufacturing process.

Collateral

CME produces a large quantity of documents meant to assist our customers while using Intel® technology. The Manufacturing Advantage Service (MAS) documents and videos are distributed to our customers free of charge. We are continually updating the library of documents and videos to include new technologies, updates to existing technologies and feedback from our customers.
