Intel® Celeron® processors

Processor numbers for the Celeron® brand are expressed either as a 3-digit numerical sequence, or a 5-character sequence with an alphabetical prefix and 4 digits, depending on the processor type.

Examples

Processor Name = Brand (Intel® Celeron®  processor) + Number (560)

Processor Name = Brand (Intel® Celeron®  Dual-Core processor) + Number (E1200)

This 3-digit number or 5-character identifier captures the features of a particular Intel Celeron processor where a higher number generally indicates more or improved features, including:

  • Cache
  • Clock Speed
  • Front Side Bus
  • Other Intel® technologies¹
  • Note that a higher number processor may have more of one feature and less of another.
