Diagnostic report

The following steps describe how to generate a report with the Intel® Graphics Driver Diagnostic Utility. You can also learn how to include this report when sending a Technical Support email form.

  1. Right-click the desktop and select Graphics Properties. If you do not see Graphics Properties listed, follow the steps on How to open the Intel® Graphics Properties window and then continue to Step 2.

  2. If you are prompted to select Basic Mode, Advanced Mode, or Wizard Mode, select Advanced Mode and then click OK.

  3. Depending on the Intel graphics driver version, do one of the following:
    - Click on the Information button (bottom left side of the window), or
    - Click on the Information tab (on left side of the window), or
    - Click on the Advanced Diagnostics button, select Report
    - Click on the button (upper right corner of the window), or
    - Click on Options and Support (on left side of the window) and then click on Information Center.

  4. Click Save to file, Save, or Generate.
  5. Select a folder or directory (for example, Desktop), enter a File Name (e.g. diag.txt) and then click Save.
  6. A new window may appear showing the report. If you do not see this window, go to the folder or directory you had selected and open the saved file.
  7. With your mouse, select the content of the text file. Or click anywhere in the text and press the Ctrl+A keys to highlight all of the text.
  8. On the menu bar, click Edit, then Copy. Or press the Ctrl+C keys to copy the highlighted text.
  9. Return to the email form in your web browser. Click inside the box below the A graphics diagnostic report can be pasted into the space below field.
  10. On the menu bar of your web browser, click Edit, then Paste. Or press the Ctrl+V keys to paste the contents of the text into that space.
  11. The diagnostic report is now displayed in the form.
Note If you are unable to follow the steps (e.g. tabs and buttons listed are not shown), your computer may have an out-of-date driver, may have a customized computer manufacturer driver, or may not have an Intel® graphics controller. Contact your computer manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer to get the latest graphics drivers for your computer.
