Intel® Server Board STL2
Chassis Reference List

The chassis listed below were tested to determine whether they provide adequate airflow to keep critical server components within the individual manufacturer's temperature specifications.

In order to enable a 1U high density server based on the Intel® STL2 Server Board, the Ci Design 1U chassis comes with a low profile VRM and a low profile heat sink. 1U systems should also use low profile memory from the qualified memory list. For more details on 1U integration, see the RS1102 product page.

The Intel® STL2 Server Board is supported in the following Intel® chassis:

Intel® SC5000 Base KHDBASEU
SC5000 Hot Swap Drive KHDHSU
SC5000 Redundant Power KHDHSRPU
Intel® SR2050 KB2HSU
Intel® SR2100 KB3HSRP

Please ensure that you are using one of the chassis specified above as certain modifications have been made which allow integration of the STL2 into the chassis. Previous versions of the Intel® SC5000 and Intel® SR2050 chassis may not work.

Notes:
(1)  Third party names and brands are the property of their respective owners.
(2)  All vendors project providing a minimum of 800ma of 5V power for standby required for Wake on Lan* (WOL) and Emergency Management Port (EMP) support. Customers should refer to the chassis specification to assure the power supply has been upgraded in the chassis.
(3)   Chassis Legend:

MT = Mid Tower

FT = Full Tower

FS = File Server

R = Rack (U is multiple of 1.75 inches)
(4)   Power Supply:

- = Single

H/S = Hot

Swap RD = Redundant
(5)   Thermal test level refers to the highest level of testing that successfully completed Intel's thermal testing. The chassis config summary is provided below:
Level Processor Memory Disk Type # of Disk RAID
2 2 x 1GHz Pentium® III Processor FC-PGA 4 x 256MB Seagate* ST318451LC/LW 2 x 18GB No
3 2 x 1GHz Pentium® III Processor FC-PGA 4 x 256MB Seagate ST318451LC/LW 3 x 18GB Yes
The testing information is provided as a guide for the reseller in choosing chassis products that are compatible with the Intel® STL2 Server Board. The reseller is encouraged to test the chassis products in specific configurations.
