On models manufactured prior to April 22, 2002, the Intel® Server Chassis SC5100 (Base SKU) power supply 12V auxiliary cable is about 1/2" too short to plug into the 12V auxiliary power connector on the Intel® Server Board S845WD1-E.
Post April 22, the SC5100 chassis (Base SKU) has been modified to include a longer cable to support the Server Board S845WD1-E. The current SC5100 base -- post the April 22 power cable ECO -- MM# is now 847764 (The product code remains KHD2BASE300).
