The Intel® Server Board S845WD1-E has specific requirements for the power sequencing and limits.
The power supply used must be either ATX12V or EPS12V design, otherwise the S845WD1-E server board will not operate.
These power supplies provide the additional power lead of 4-pin (or 8-pin) +12 volt connector.
The additional 4-pin (or 8-pin) +12V (see figure A below) connector should be connected to the processor power
connector located at J4B1/J4B2 (see figure B below), otherwise the system will not boot.
Note: Do not use a standard ATX power supply. The board will not boot with a standard ATX power supply.
