Common problem and solutions in the event that the Intel® Server Board SE7320VP2 and Intel® Server Platform SR1435VP2 does not boot or show video at power-on.
- Check that the +12V CPU power connectors is plugged in. Without this cable the processor will not have any power.
- If configuring with only one processor, verify that the processor is in the Primary Processor socket (CPU 1).
- Remove and replace memory modules one bank at a time to isolate which one may be causing the problem.
- Remember important memory requirements
Must be:
- Registered DDR 266 or 333 MHz only
- Same speed memory modules
- From same manufacturer
- Installed beginning with DIMM slot 1A
- Installed with no empty slots between filled slots
- (SE7320VP2 Only) Your power supply must provide a minimum of 600 watts with 2 amp standby power, which complies with the SSI EPS 12V specification.
