The chassis listed below were tested to determine whether they provide adequate airflow to keep critical server components within the individual manufacturer's temperature specifications.
The Intel® Server Board SDS2 is supported in the following Intel® chassis. Refer to the Intel® Server Chassis SC5100 for details:
| Intel® SC5100 Base |
KHD2BASE300 |
| SC5100 Redundant Power |
KHD2HSRP350 |
| SC5100 Hot Swap Redundant Power Rack |
KHD2HSRP350R |
|
Please ensure that you are using one of the chassis specified above as certain modifications have been made that allow integration of the SDS2 into the chassis. The Intel® SC5000 chassis will not work.
Note: The power supply required to support the SDS2 must be either ATX12V or EPS12V design; otherwise the SDS2 will not operate. Please contact the chassis vendor to determine compatible power supply models which are available for the chassis of interest.

(1) Third party names and brands are the property of their respective owners.
(2) All vendors project providing a minimum of 800ma of 5V power for standby required for Wake on Lan* (WOL) and Emergency Management Port (EMP) support. Customers should refer to the chassis specification to assure the power supply has been upgraded in the chassis.
(3) Chassis Legend:
- MT = Mid Tower
- FT = Full Tower
- FS = File Server
- R = Rack (U is multiple of 1.75 inches)
(4) Power Supply:
- - = Single
- H/S = Hot
- Swap RD = Redundant
(5) Thermal test level refers to the highest level of testing that successfully completed Intel's thermal testing. The chassis configuration summary is provided below:
(6) 1U chassis were tested with the boxed processor heat sink, with the fan removed.
