Description:
Intel® RAID Controller SRCS16 that were built with firmware version 713R will display as a MegaRAID SATA-150-6D branded RAID controller during POST rather than as SRCS16, and will display ctrl+h and/or ctrl+m options to enter the BIOS RAID setup utility.
Root Cause:
The 713R firmware image used in the factory was incorrectly built with firmware components and settings that included incorrect branding.
Corrective Action / Resolution:
The incorrectly built firmware issue is cosmetic in nature and creates no risk to configuration or data. The affected firmware image in the factory has been replaced with an updated 713R firmware build that corrects the issue.
Controllers shipped from the factory that were built with affected firmware can be updated with the standard firmware update process to resolve the issue. Firmware version 713S or later is available for download and is not subject to the issue; and will correct the issue on affected controllers.
