If Enable Picture Transfer and Remove Copied Pictures From Camera is selected in the Storage Manager, Picture Transfer settings page, when a camera is attached to a USB port, all pictures should be copied to the Intel® Entry Storage System SS4200-E and then deleted from the camera. However, Sony* and Nikon* cameras do not support the automatic deletion of these files from the camera using PTP1.
As a workaround, use the camera's management utility to delete the pictures stored on Sony* and Nikon* cameras as needed.
1) PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) - An ISO standard for transferring photos from a digital camera to a computer or photo printer. PTP is supported in many new digital cameras, photo printers and photo applications as well as Windows, Mac and Linux. PTP allows vendors to add an extension number to PTP packets in order to identify and support proprietary functions in their models.
