The Intel® Carrier Grade Server TIGI2U is designed to support one or two 64-bit Intel® Xeon® processors with 2MB L2 Cache with frequencies at 3.20 GHz and 800 MHz front side bus.

For your convenience, there is a hyperlink for each of the processors featured. These hyperlinks will route you to the Intel® Processor Spec Finder tool, providing you with processor specifications and order code information.

For optimum system performance, only identical processors should be installed in a system. Processor steppings can be mixed in a system provided that there is no more than 1-stepping difference between the processors installed. If the installed processors are more than 1-stepping apart, an error (8080 through 8183) is logged in the System Event Log (SEL). Acceptable mixed steppings are not reported as errors.

Note these restrictions:
If ordering Boxed Processors, make sure to choose the one containing the passive heatsink. There are other Boxed Processors which contain active heatsinks, and those are not to be used with Intel® Carrier Grade Server TIGI2U. If ordering Tray processors, Intel® Carrier Grade Server TIGI2U has a heatsink Spare (see the Spares list for the correct PID/MM# for the Heatsink Spare). Unlike earlier Telecom server products there are no clips needed, since screws are provided instead.

No other Processors will be supported. Only the following Processors should be used is the Intel Xeon® Processor 3.20 GHz with 2MB L2 cache and 800MHz system bus speed.
