The 125MHz, 150MHz and 166MHz Pentium® OverDrive® processors with MMX™ technology will be socket compatible with the Pentium processor.
Upgradability can be supported in either a socket 5 or socket 7, in a single or dual socket design.
Single Socket Support
In a single socket design, the Pentium® processor is replaced with the OverDrive® processor.
Dual Socket Support
For two socket designs, the original processor is removed and the OverDrive processor is installed into the second socket.
