The Intel® Processor Frequency ID Utility identifies the processor in a tested system. Reported information includes:

• Brand name
• Rated and tested speed (check processor compatibility for this feature)
• Cache memory
• Technologies
• Classification

Two versions of the utility are available:

• Windows*
  • Supported versions
• Bootable
  • Operating system not required
  • Bootable device is required
  • Utility loads during boot process

This utility is no longer being updated for newer Intel processors. Newer processors are supported by a separate tool, the Intel® Processor Identification Utility. Refer to the supported processors list to determine the correct utility for your system.
