The following options are available to help you identify your adapter and driver:

Intel® Driver Update Utility The easiest way to identify your wireless adapter and driver version is to run the Intel® Driver Update Utility tool. This tool identifies your adapter and updates your driver to the latest version if needed.

Windows Device Manager Another way to identify your adapter and driver version is to use the Device Manager in Windows. Complete the following steps to identify your wireless adapter and driver. In Microsoft Windows Vista* and Windows 7*:
- Click Start Control Panel.
- Double-click System and Maintenance and Device Manager.
- Click + Network Adapters to expand the section.
The Intel wireless adapter is listed. For example, Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN.
- Right-click the wireless adapter.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
The driver version number is listed in the Driver Version field.

In Microsoft Windows XP*:
- Click Start > Control Panel.
- Double-click the System icon. Note: Select Switch to classic view if the system icon is not visible.
- Click the Hardware tab.
- Click Device Manager.
- Click the + Network Adapters to expand the section.
The Intel wireless adapter is listed. For example, Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN.
- Right-click the wireless adapter.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
The driver version number is listed in the Driver Version field.
