Ted has a passion for protecting the environment. Over the past 23 years he has helped develop and implement most of Intel's environmental programs and policies around the world. He has been involved with developing sites in Ireland, Costa Rica, Malaysia, the Philippines, China, and several locations in the US. Beginning in 1992, he was involved with some of the first product stewardship efforts in energy efficiency and recycling and was a co-founder of the EPEAT (Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool) product environmental rating system. Today Ted is focused on setting environmental strategies for product stewardship, green buildings, and lifecycle environmental approaches. He's also working on regulatory development and policy in China, technical leadership, and technical innovation.

Ted has more than 30 years of experience in facilities planning, energy management and environmental engineering. He has had a variety of engineering and management roles with Deere & Co., Puget Energy, and Intel Corp.

Ted has a B. S. in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University, graduate work in Architecture/Environmental Design at Arizona State University, MBA studies at Idaho State University, and graduate work in Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington.
